Magnetic Diagnotic Resources of Central New York

Your Insurance

It should be noted that each insurance carrier has its own unique policies for scheduling and paying for MRI scans.

The patient will be ultimately responsible for learning and understanding his or her insurance company’s rules.

While our schedulers are trained to know most of the rules for the majority of these companies, there is no way possible they could know all of them. The patient should contact his or her insurance company (there is an 800 number on the back of the card) and find out all the necessary information.

Listed below are some of the major companies that MDR is a participating provider for:

  • Aetna
  • Blue/Cross/Blue Sheild (of CNY, Rochester, Watertown, and Utica)
  • Cigna
  • CNA
  • Excellus
  • Fidelis
  • First Health
  • GHI
  • Great West
  • Guardian
  • Magna Care
  • Medicaid
  • Medicare
  • MVP
  • North American Administrators
  • Oswego County Opportunities
  • PHCS
  • Plumbers & Steamfitters
  • Quality Health
  • Total Care
  • Univera
  • UFCW
  • United Health Care
  • United Health (Empire plan)

Insurance rules are constantly changing, and despite the fact that you have had a fairly recent MRI scan, do not assume the rules have remained the same.

For additional billing questions contact a home office or MDR Business Office.

To facilitate early detection and enhanced diagnoses, MDR offers the most advanced breast imaging procedures, including breast MRI, in a comfortable and caring environment.
